I guess its a little late to ask now considering my parts are ordered and due for arrival tomorrow but I ordered the Slowboy ss o2 with the external Tial 38mm and when I saw they were going to be here tomorrow I got the car ready tonight and took of the o2 and anything that might be in the way. This way all I have to do is bolt everything up when it gets here. What Im wondering is I have a Fluidyne Radiator and I didnt say anything to Slowboy when I ordered so I hope the Tial still will fit OK theres not a lot of room.If anyone on here has this setup and knows if it will still fit I would love to know.Worse case I guess tomorrow Im gonna know for sure.

Well heres an update I never got to see if it clears the radiator and fans cause it doesnt clear the power steering pump.Im gonna call Slowboy tomorrow.

wow sorry it's not fitting up like it should........They are probably goiong to tell you that their's fitted up right with no problem's and they have done alot without having problem's !

I say that becuase when I bought a short route J pipe from SBR for the evo16g turbo the bolt closest to the fans could not be tighted up becuase of the bend they used ......I called SBR and they told me that they have done alot with out no problem's and I must be doing somthing wrong! I finnaly had to actually cut a Allen wrench in half and grind it flat just to make it work !

If you have room you could push the PS pump up and use a shorter belt. That should give you some clearance.

What would be the point of spending the time to go somewhere and wasting my time and extra $.25 to fix a problem that should have been addressed from the get go ? Hell I already spent the $90 !

I thought they where the 1's that did all the R & D but I may be wrong huh?

I just installed a SLS O2 housing and Tial wastegate on a 2g, it fits very well. There was no clearance issues with the power steering pump or exhaust. The AC fan might be an issue, but the car didn't have it so I can't say for sure. But dealing with the A/C fan is much easier than dealing with the PS pump.

I would tell SBR they need to give you a refund and they can eat their 20% restocking fee since they sold you a defective part.

Let us know how it goes.

Well heres an update I called Slowboy on Saturday and couldnt get anyone to answer so Im gonna call them tomorrow morning. My concern about having the Fluidyne was mostly cause of the AC fan but on my car its not really an AC fan at all.I have 2 Spal fans wired together for cooling. There both slimline but still space is tight.Taking off the driver side fan is really not an option cause its hot here in Arizona and I really feel I need both to keep the car cool in summer.I was looking at the setup even though the part they sent didnt fit I was trying to get an idea of if the next one will have the original problem I was worried about of clearing the fans.Theres enough room there to clear everything but its gonna be close.Im just not sure if theres anyway they get get it to fit right for my car without having my car in front of them.Ill keep you guys updated when I talk to them and find more out.

O.K. another update and another question Slowboy sent me the label to ship the o2 back to them today so Im gonna have it in the mail tomorrow. Now my question is this wastegate is going on a 16g my plan was to take off the actuator for the internal but leave the flapper in there.I know this isnt going to be great for flow but I dont plan to leave this setup on here long and I dont want to take the flapper out and have to put one back in when I decide to sell it.The whole reason I went with this o2 is a bigger turbo is coming up in the near future and I wanted to be ready for it.If anyone did this alread y tell me how it worked thanks.

Heres another update Slowboy changed the o2 around sent it back and it still didnt fit this time it didnt clear the oil dipstick(and yes I did try and bend it). so now Im gonna be on my third o2 which I should be getting in the next few days I hope.I have already told Slowboy that if this one doesnt fit I expect a full refund. The one thing I will say is the service from Chris the sales rep has been good. But as far as fabrication it would seem there still learning. This aint bad mouthing either but Im sure you can see where Im coming from considering I ordered the o2 in August. So never got to see if the fan was gonna be in the way or if leaving the flapper in would be a problem. There gonna fit this one on a car before they send it so there should be no problems with the fit. When I get it I plan to post again so lets see.

If you do get this replacement to fit, post up some pics if you can. I want to upgrade to an external as well but will be adding a Koyo rad & more then likely Spal fans (would keep the stockers but I don't think I'll have a choice). Defently interested on how their setup would fit.

I have an O2 on order from SlowBoy as well, except I'm using the 44mm Tial. It should be here by the weekend. I'll try to get it put on and take pics for those interested. It will be on a stock radiator with stock fans though.

Yeah tell me how the o2 for the 44 fits Im curious.I will be posting pics for sure when I get this new one.I have many pics of how the past 2 didnt fit.

well I think hell froze over cause Slowboy sent a 02 that fit.I must say it does fit very nice clears everything. But it did take 3 before they got it so this is going to be my first and last purchase from them for sure. Here is a couple of pics also as I asked in #10 I dont wanna take the flapper out as this is a temp setup and Im going to sell the turbo very soon so any thoughts as how this will work.I know it wont be great for flow but again this is a temp deal.

I recieved mine the Friday before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately when I put it on the car I was unable to install the O2 sensor, where the bung was located it made the sensor hit the alternator WTF

So I called them up, along with sending some pics via e-mail to them, and they are taking care of it. They said that was their normal spot for the O2 bung but I don't see how as there was no way to make the sensor fit even if I installed it in the housing first and then installed the housing on the car. However, they are paying for shipping both ways and are going to put a plug in that bung and install a new one in a location that I marked for them for free :thumb:

Once I get it back (hopefully by next weekend as I was told they now have a full time welder) I'll post some pics on the net. If that bung had been in a different spot everything would have fit perfect, the dipstick comes right up between the body and top of the 44mm without me having to bend it and my downpipe fit with no problems.

It sucks that it's taken this long for me (I was waiting ~7 weeks for it the first time) but at least they are taking care of it.

7 weeks aint nothing I ordered mine 8/10/06 it 4 months to get a fitting one hope your not in a hurry.Ask to talk to a manager its funny how they alwasys are "busy".I was told they had been "busy" for 4 months.Sorry moderators Im not trying to make this a bashing thread but Im just telling how things went with me.

Here are a couple of pics of mine before I sent it back. As you can see the 44mm fits well in the area they have it set. They're fixing the O2 sensor position and I'll have more install pics once I get it back, hopefully by next weekend.
