What can anyone tell me about the Slowboy M-trim turbo? It looks good for what I want a turbo to do. Does anybody know much about this size turbo? $599.00 seems cheap. What do think?

It is the next upgrade from an E316g. It made 318 whp at 15 psi so it makes the power, id say its a high 300whp turbo at 18-20 psi on pump with the potential to make over 400.

Will it bolt up the same as the evo III?

Or would it require new lines/manifold and all?

I have wanted a downfirering turbo to eliminate the j-pipe and make some room between the tubo and the fans. If the M-trim will spool almost like a 16g then thats what I need. The only thing better would be a ball bearing version.

I have an M-trim sitting in my closet waiting for nicer weather to be installed. Hopefully nicer weather gets here soon. As soon as I start playing around with it, I'll get some DSMLink logs up and a review of how it performs over my current 14b.

It would require new feed/return lines. Everything else will bolt up the same.

Hmm awesome i'm looking for a new turbo (mines ready to implode) was origionally planning on the EIII but i'm gonna have to look into this one a bit more. :thumb:

Thanks Mr. Boxx,

Thats very helpful. It seems that they are very comparable turbos.
