Slight Ticking Noise in my 2g

Alright heres how it is, i have been on this forum very long time without ever posting, but as of yesterday my 2g talon started this little ticking noise under the far left side of my valve cover gasket...........im so worried because i dont want it to be crank walk or any of that, and its not low on oil or anything basic like that, i think maybe i have a mis-aligned valved or something..........if anyone could help me, please let me know

mine does that too.. my friend has a first gen and he is pretty good with dsm's. I asked him about it and his exact words were " Its a 4g63" .. i put some lucas oil in with my last change and the sound pretty much went away. still there but not loud and only when im idling. when i drive it goes away. i only have 45k on my car too..

Thanks for replying, see the thing is, mine ticks from about 2200 RPM to 4000. and then stops, i dont know what the hell it is?

So that other post i made about the ticking...........well i found out what it was. i took off my valve cover gasket and noticed one of my cams was hitting a lifter on the rotation, thus that is what created the ticking noise....well, i ran the car for a little bit today and the ticking got worse and worse and worse, then, this ungodly knocking occured. so i am planning on replacing the cams, lifters, and valve springs, also the oil pump seems not to be working.........if anyone knows where i can pick up these parts cheap, let me know asap! id really appreciate the help!

if i were you i would also check you rod bearings. Take the oil pan off and check for any play or metal shavings. Recently my oil pump went kinda bad and had low oil pressure made my car have a loud tick knock sound. So while you do all that just pray not to have spun a rod bearing.
