ok guys here i am again with another hopefully good answer to my very scary question.I took my car to the track this weekend and run good times for a stock car she did a 9.24 @ 76 mph. well after i got home that night i notices very very faint ticking coming from the bottom end on the drivers side.My first fear was rod bearing but it doesn't double knock and i changed my oil exspecting to see shavings but i seen none. what could this tiny noise be or can it still be rod bearing?

I would invest in a stethoscope and just get it to make the noise and listen. When you listen to parts with the stethoscope you will hear it in other parts making noise but when you do find it, it you will know.
