I bought a set of used Skunk2 adj cam gears and noticed that they had two dowel pin holes as opposed to out one. I just wanted to make sure that they dowel pin hole that line up with the timing mark it the correct one if I am not mistaking.

Looks like the lower hole is the hole as The top hole looks Off center to the timing lines

there both parallel if you look at them in person, it must be the camera angle or something, they all line up

ok can anyone help me? my dowl pins and my timing marks line up, and according to the how to for the timing belt, there not supposed to? I bought these from another dsm

Have you tried contacting Skunk2? They are a big company and I'm sure they can answer any questions or maybe tell you it's a defect. GL

There is no defect. There are two sets of timing marks, as well as the dowels. One dowel and one mark is for use on the later EVOs 4G63, and the other set is for the 1G, 2G DSM, early EVO 4g63. I have a set in my garage, and I'm pretty sure that the back side of the gear is labeled EVO and DSM. Take a look at the pic. I've circled the dowel you are to use.

Just took this picture for you when I got home from work. In the pic, I've got the cam gears sitting in the exact position they should be in when the motor is at top dead center. See the little divot machined into the gears that my finger is pointing to? You use the dowel holes in the gears that puts the divots at 12 o'clock and if you look you can also see that the timing marks at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions are lined up the way they should be. Hope this helps.
