hey guys, sounds stupid but what make of boost gauge should i get? i heard people talking crap about autometer gauges so i wanted to know what you guys suggest. i thought a gauge was a gauge was a gauge, but i guess not OMG . Thanx!

The internals in autometer gauges can sometimes be off a few points. Seeing as you should not be relying on the thing to be more accurate than that it will be fine. If you are going to get serious you will have to start shelling out money for electronic pressure sensors that you can log.

Short version. It will work fine for what 90% of the people here need them for.

yah nordskog gauges are nice but $$ extremely costly, defiant brought a nice brand of gauges, i am thinking about checking those vdo's out

i have a advanced auto parts special FAZE boost guage.
works good.

it reads the exact same boost / vac as my Apexi avcr ebc

I have Autometer Pro-comps for Vac/Boost and A/F ratio (aka disco party gauge) Mine work great. The first Boost gauge i bought was off from the start and did not read 0 it read 15 on the vac side so when i boosted i was at like 2psi. I took it back and got another one and it works awesome. I bought mine because i'm not dropping $200 on a boost gauge, i'm not rich at all.

Anyone heared of the Splitfire gauges ???? saw them today for the first time! didn't know they make gauges!

If you are looking for a boost gauge thats a little different try the Blitz DTT DCII turbo timer. It also has an electronic boost gauge. I bought one used for a few months off e-bay for $40 which is way cheaper then getting a boost gauge when youre getting a turbo timer also. Only thing is you have to learn how to use Hkpa into PSI

I have the Apexi boost gauge. I love it. It illuminates bright blue with a red pointer at night and it comes with its own mounting cup too.

I would say VDO. Vision series with black face and an orange bulb from any parts store. IMO looks very much like stock. Cheap as hell too.
