First I'd like to say that in no way does this compare to the work Casuprock is doing. Obviously electronic control that is rpm based is the best route.

I just liked the simplistic design work here. Would be great for a drag car setup IMO.

I always liked this setup too...

Not sure I understand that second one. What's the other actuator for?

One is for vac, the other boost. This way you are not cruising around with the vanes fully closed (like the spring only setup). I'd guess us small engine guys may be ok cruising around with the vanes fully closed. On the larger engines I'd guess it would cause high egt's poor fuel mileage etc.... Vac would pull vanes open at cruise/idle and boost would close them.

I plan on running it with a wastegate can and using it like vee tak. Once it is at enough boost to keep itself going, open up the hot side. Could do it progressively using a PWM solenoid, but I'm so lazy, and it will already be spooling up so fast.

Instead of two cans like that, you can use a single can with 2 ports. Oh wow, you can get them from Chinese Motor Parts

I like that, no BS about it being real.

That won't work. Thats a single chamber actuator. Read the fine print. :thumb:

There is one air chamber for bottom port, other port for quick release hot and pressure air to make actuator reaction quickly and last it life
