simple bolt ons

when i get the money im going to simple bolt ons here is my list
under drive pulley ( added )
nitrious (added)
cold air intake
header
test pipe
type 2 mufflar

what else is a easy bolt on

oh what about msd ignition
msd coil pack
msd 8mm wires

anything else
 
why underdrive first i been told to do that at a later time i may end up saving up and doing that too

i dont see what waiting will do, free up that extra horsepower now! i would... i did.... get the underdrive pulley before i got a header.
 
i may save up and do that too just trying to get ideas cause i would like to do all the simple bolt on first. so is the udp the only thing im missing on my list or is there more
 
ya pretty much... but im telling you, get nitrous. if you only have nitrous you will still beat your same car with intake exaust udp. but, since you have $1000, why not get all of the above?

my spendings(everything brand spanken new):
AEM CAI: $165
Cat-back exaust: $325
AF/X UDP: $140
Zex Wet Kit, 75 shot: $535

Total: $1165

or, loose the intake, and bam exactly $1000... damn im good
 
get the UDP first. you get more power from that. CAI is good, CB exhaust is good, TB is really nice. But nothing gives a nice kick in the butt like a shot of the good ol N20

ok i did an update to my list so look at it again. i didnt say i have a 1000 to spend im going to do all bolt on at once money is no option. well it is in a way but im saving up for it so it wont matter
 
Hey Miami, i was lookin at what you are investing in.,.... and HOW did you get those deals on all of those prices? ! Also, what kind of HP are you getting from all that? ??
 
Well my older brother races f1 mazda's (rotary rockets :laugh: ) up in Illinois. He has alot of friends who own performance shops :cool: .

Although most of the stuff i got through my own. For example, he hooked me up with an intake, but i did my exhaust custom made. I got the ssautochrome header of ebay, i got the udp from howell (with the belts), afc is brand spanking new (ordering it as we speak), i am getting a wet kit from a site that i cant remember, cough thanks chris :thumb: cough.

Now the intake mani & tb i have a friend who owns a machine shop so :p , and i am getting the head from a company out in Tampa area that does alot of port work (oh its coming with 1mm o/s valves).

As for hp i'm not sure, I still want to get cam gears, and i've been thinking of throwin some nasty cams (springs, retainers, you know the whole she-bang LOL) but i have to get more money. I know i will have everything listed above (except cams) within the next 2-4 weeks (installed).

EDIT: Yea i need to go back & scrap my exhaust, i had done 2.25" pipping instead of 2.5" b/c i did not plan on getting nitrous,......what a mistake LOL so theres another $100 im gonna have to pay, but its my own damn fault
 
Wow, that is insane! TOtally awsome though that you have so many hook ups like that. HOw many miles are on your engine miami?! becuase i guy i was talking to.. said that i have to many to do all those things to because itll blow? is that a load of crap or what? maybe you can help me out... heres the list of things i want to have done by next summer.....
Star stage 2 turbo kit.
Port and polished head kit
Injectors
UDP
Cams
and a full 3" straight pipe exhaust.

Is there anything im missing there? but anyway, the guy i talked to said that just the Port and Polished head and the new pistons and rings would blow the engine... and the Turbo would make it worse! i have 93k on my engine right now.... would it be better to just pick up another engine to start all that work with? i really dont want to even though i can get one for like $800 but i feel like i could use that $800 to help my already perfect compression engine... all of my compression is between 180-190 and i have no leaks anywhere... so, do you think all that will blow my engine right away?????
 
ppl r dumb, what can i say? I mean not all people, but there's always people who talk alot of shit (pardon the word LOL). If you get new pistons n rods, piston rings as you had said explain to me how you engine will blow up????? You are putting not only NEW internals but not only that, they r going to be stronger forged internals. I have about the same mileage as you do (mine's a 97). Although i personally have only put about 5500 miles in the year and a half i've owned the car (that will change as my classes are much farther away, so i will be driving about 12,000 from home to class (then include work LOL, but thats 2 miles from my house)).

So i don't understand what this guy is saying "you will blow your engine", maybe you might have taken it out of context, maybe he's just a dumbass (for the sake of this argument, i beleive he is LOL)

You have a 180 compression, your engine is running well, i am going to hold of ordering the wet kit until monday b/c i haven't had a chance to do a compression test (although i don't doubt it to be in good condition).

PS you are going to need some type of tuning via an afc/emanage/stand-along. I am ordering a afc now, yay im so happy :D

hmmm... mike i think i confused him with you :confused: sorry for starting the $1000 bidding... anyways, miles on an engine arnt as important as the condition of your engine, if your compression is fine and your car hasnt been beaten to death, you will be fine. i had many people(F&F knowledge) tell me i was gonna blow my engine(or my intake welds), and im still running strong. you should be fine
 
what brand of afc are you picking up? also, can stock axels handle all the horse power put on by these upgrades? because a guy on another forum i started told me some stage 2 were like 700 or something... thats insanity!!!!
 
he had 700whp??? from a stage 2???? Umm ok :rolleyes:

I don't know much about the axles, but it should be able to hold a stage 2 (or my mods :p ) many people have done it. I only know one n/t w/ turbo who is just now changing his axle & he eats corvettes.

does anyone else make a S-AFC besides apexi?

come on, 700hp is realistic. a stage 2 gives you what, 560hp right? :rolleyes:

But no i don't think anyone else make an afc (well like apexi's because one could argue that the emanage does the same :shhh: )

and we have argued LOL. emanage does the same and more, but i believe the apexi afc is the only one of its type
