shudder problem, but not b/c ignition

HEy guys, when my car (95 GSX-stock) is boosting up, right above first line into boost on stock guage, the car starts to shudder. It will go to redline, but with the car shuddering and doing it slowely.

The engine runs fine and has no ignition problems because below about 1/2 boost (when it starts to shudder) it will pull hard/ like normal. It sounds like it could be a broken wastegate or something but i am not sure.

any ideas???

btw, when it shudders, it will hold boost but not boost-up as much as it should (according to stock guage)

Just because it doesn't shudder at lower rpms or less load doesn't mean its not the ignition. Check it correctly by measuring it's resistance and making sure it's within spec. Then you know for sure if it's good or not without just assuming it is. My car pulls at partial throttle as well but at wot it doesn't. Tested my coil and it's done.

Before you do anything, do a boost leak test.

Search for it I've seen it around. Search under ignition, resistance, coil pack etc. If not it's in the chiltons repair manual you should have.
