The shop that started my engine build bought ID1000s for an EVO X, and I didn't catch it when I brought the car to another shop to finish the project. The shop that originally bought the injectors say that the EVO X injectors will work with an adapter, and looking at the drawings on the ID website, that seems to be legit, but I can't find a way to order the adapter separatly or even a part number. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Or do you know anyone who is looking to upgrade your EVO X?

I thought the injector itself was different! The injector nozzle is extented into the cylinder head more compared to evo or our injectors! The plug may be the same but im only going on what ive seen for the injectors n the evo X so i may be totally wrong

I thought the same thing that an Evo x injector won't work for our 90-99 dsms because of their design. I would go back to that shop and have them fix their mistake and order the correct dsm or Evo 8/9 injectors.

Let just say there is no way this shop is going to do the right thing. They pulled the car apart and sat on it for almost 3 years, charged me for parts I brought to them, didn't return all my parts, tried to get me to return my parts (for which I have receipts) that they originally returned to me. I won't even go into the mess they made of my other Talon.

As I recall the new shop did mention something about the injector protruding to far in, like ec17pse said. From the drawings on the ID website it is hard to tell as they just give the dimensions from o-ring landings.

I emailed Injector Dynamics, so maybe Monday I'll get a definitive answer.
