Shifting/tranny fluid!!!

I own a 90 tsi awd, and i live in Canada,

ok..

so i just got jdm motor dropped into my ride and everything runs amazingly well (thanks to www.totaljdm.com) my only problem is my tranny grinds alittle bit into 2nd and 3rd gear. I am running gm syncromesh in the tranny. I used my old clutch in the swap, could this mean that my clutch's life span is nearing its end, or is it my tranny and what can i do to solve this!

Your syncros may be going out, or its possible the clutch is too. When my clutch was going I found it hard to shift into first gear unless I was going under 10MPH...switching the clutch solved my 1st and 2nd gear grinding, however 3rd is still there.
