This is a weird post but me and my bud were talking about Fast and Furious. What makes the clicking sound when he shifts. Its a short throw shifter?

No, it's called 'Foley sound'. Google it.

(To save Google some bandwidth, it's a sound effect added later in postproduction to make it sound niftier. Same thing with the fluttery BOVs, tire screeches, all the way down to the sound of people walking or slamming doors. Adding these sound effects is called 'foley work'. It's a movie. Not real. Repeat those two phrases a few billion times.)

It's a movie, It's fake. If you want a clunking sound, Replace all your stock rubber bushings with metal bushings.. You will get the cluck when shifting.

While you're at it, unplug your wastegate vacuum line and set your blowoff valve for 6 psi and vent like its your job

^do nothing that I said to do

Huh? I was only telling him if he really wanted a shitty clunking broke down car sound, He can put all metal bushings in and take the rubber ones all out. I don't know what you mean.. If you take the vaccume line off of the wastegate, You will ''free-boost''... You can't ''set your blow off valve for 6psi'' either.. aha.......

wow... i can't believe this thread is back ROFL . I swear I read a thread like this last year or something. It was hilarious....kept me laughing for a while

Incase your wondering about the metal bushing everyone is refuring to: http://www.machv.com/symshifkit1.html

Or you could make your own with washers. But you will not have the smaller I.D. shifter sleeve. Well worth tht $36 they want for these
