Shaved head Questions???

I have 2g 420a wonder about the Pros and Cons of getting a head shaved? How much should get taken off? and potential hp gains?

The only reason I would get a head shaved is to flatten it back out. Take it to a machine shop and they will tell you if it is flat and how much needs removed. If you want compression gains and more power I would suggest different pistons.

Only deck the head if you have a blown head gasket. It can only be done a few number of times before the heads overall thickness is below the minimum spec and it needs replacing.

Yes it does change the compression ratio a tad but not noticable. They also make diffrent thickness head gaskets to make up for the lost head material and bring clearances back to good.
