Head Questions

Hey guys, so im not a total newbie, but its my first time pulling my head. The hg was pretty bad, but ive checked with a straight edge and the head is pretty flat.

Well anyways, what all should i have a machine shop do? Hot tank, clean the head? Resurface if its bad and what else?

I guess it was going to have to be shaved down pretty low, and then before i sent it in, i noticed some of the valves weren't fully seated.

Among with something else the guy mentioned, i cant remember. Basically he said he needs to redo it and i was better off looking for a new one ### it would cost me $350 if he did it.

Been there i had plenty of problems money is tight, with the economy for everyone its not our car, giving advice at least your figuring it out for you.

Well initially, because i have friends at auto shops to source my parts, i was only going to be paying $260 for everything.

Now for the head, i have found one for $220 ready to go. Also Paul V has came to me with a amazing head for a good price, but i just cant spring for $300 at the time.
