I'm ordering an HID kit for my talon, 35w 6000k's, and I was wondering if I would need a battery harness for them. I'm guessing I would if I got the 55w, but I don't want to blind everyone on the road and I've seen some good pics of the 35w kit.

i got there 55w 8000k kit and u dont need anything but a 1 inch drill bit the rest is plug and play. u also need to plug the harness that goes to the balasse in back word we need to reverse the polarity for them to work. they are bright but not to bad i haven't got a ticket yet.

Nice pics, I was thinking about mounting options and those seem to work fairly well. I didn't want to rely on double sided tape or anything like that ha. Thanks for the quick responses guys.

A higher K temp will not produce a brighter light but rather a different color. If you want the most light of a color get the super white which is 4500k. Anything above that will get blue to dark dark blue which is the 12,000k and anything higher then that will change to other colors like green or purple.

correct the higher the temp the more blue the color, but if you ever notice when not in projectors, the higher temp bulbs are more blinding on the eyes than the lower temp bulbs...

Which is why I went with the 6000k. I did a search on here and found someone who posted pics of his and they looked pretty good for being installed in stock housings. I really don't have the money nor the experience for a retrofit, and I really just want to see at night. ROFL If they really are blinding, I can just aim them as far down as I can for the time being.
