i am ordering HID's for my car tomorrow and i just wanted to know which company to go with...both company's i have spoke with and both seem nice...I just would like to know which is a better kit SiemensHID is ten dollars more. thanks for your input.

I have the H7 kit in my subaru and the 9006 kit in my talon. Not too much glare if you adjust the headlights down after you install them. I got the DDM 5000k slim ballast 35w kit with lifetime warranty. John @ sharphid.com is good to deal with and the 5000k color IMO is the best because it is pure white :thumb:

I've got the H3 8000k setup in the projectors on my daily. Got them from Sharp HID and other than some minor mods due to the setup of my projectors went in perfectly. Probably took me an hour total to completely install the setup. I got the baseline economy kit 35w and the only thing I don't like is that it takes just a little longer to warm up than I'd like, but I'm sure that could be cured if you went to one of their better kits. There's a reason the kit I got was the cheapest and I'm still happy to have purchased it from Jon.

Here are some pics. 35w H3 8000k - with the cutoff on these I rarely rarely ever get flashed. Then again I've gotten flashed in my gf's stock Subaru outback and my lowered talon running Silverstars as well.

No that's my 99 Expedition, the 1g just has the stock headlight housings with some Silverstars thrown in to help it out some. Not that it gets driven a whole lot at night though.

Glare, Glare, and Glare.

I'm wondering if you have actually tried this first hand to know this or are you just basing this on what others have said or other setups you have seen? I will be the first to say I can't stand most of the P&P setups out there with tonns of glare, not re-aiming headlights, poor colour choice, etc. But I can also tell you from first hand experience our factory housing actually have very good cutoff (well atleast the 2gb's) for a halogen housing (probably the best I've seen so far). Obviously by no means as good as a proper HID projector, but when adjusted properly, by no means as blinding to other drivers as alot of other setups out there, including factory.

I too have a kit from sharpHID (5000K slimline) & while I haven't had them installed for long, so far I'm very happy with them.

Daren, Id like to see how you have yours adjusted for less glare. Id assume you just point them down more, but wouldnt that screw with the alignment of your brights?

thanks for the positive feedback guys unlike some people on here

Wow dude, let it go. You asked for opinions on the matter, and he gave you his. This is the internet, it's serious business, if you can't handle it you're in the wrong place.

As far as the topic goes, my friend has a Seimens kit in his truck, and they are pretty nice. They respond quickly ("warm up" to full brightness) and have excellent luminoscity. I can't say wether or not they are better or worse than the Sharp kit, but I thought I'd give my input.

haha yea mavisky i like asking question from you guys and getting positive feedback not smart comments that have nothing to do with what i ask......... good looks to the rest of ya your all helpful......

The sad thing is that I agree with him, just didn't feel the need to re-iterate it. If you look at my pictures, only a proper projector will give you that cutoff. Without the projectors I'd be blinding everyone I came across.

good i asked which company to go with... nothing else so answer the question and thats all you have to do or don't...
