New Hamburg,
I have a dell laptop Insprion 8600, which only comes with 2 USB's, no serial port. I Have tmo and the cable and a serial to usb adapter. The logger works, but the data is all over the map, like one second it is a 100rpm then 8000rpm? will this setup not work cause of my usb port? Any help or fixes would be greatly appreitated!!!
no one is giving me straight answer?

Thanks Mike :talon: :laser: :dsm:

sorry i can't help, but, I have tried the same setup and i can't even get it to recognize the COM port :(

if anyone knows a soultion to his or my problem plz post.

The adapters you are using are not able to support it I had this same Problem. It is kinda hit or miss when it comes to them so I hear from the dsmlink forums. The one that is tried and proven is from COMP USA and is about 30 bucks. Also there is a place close to me that has one that works its actually the one I use. For 24.99 I would be happy to snag 1 up for you guys and ship them your way if you dont have a comp usa close by.
