Second oil filter housing cracked off after wot pull

hey dsmers, my car is a 1998 eclipse spyder gs, that has a 4g64 that I have turboed on stock internals, anyway I'm confused as to what this has happened twice. The first time I was on the highway and crusing and accelerated lightly and smoke and oil everywhere stop and get out and the oil filter housing broke off.
Now the second time (today) I did a pull 1,2 and was burning the front tires so there was smoke form that but as I drove I noticed a trail got out and looked and the same thing again but this time I think she ran low on oil . I do have a sandwich plate for my oil temp gauge, and the engine is stock internals with balance shafts. Sorry for rambling on Im just stumped on this one and frustred the dsm is becoming best friends with the flat bed Thanks for your help Alex

The 4g64 oil filter housing is longer and narrower down the main section. I'm guessing they break somewhere right around the big "M"? That's probably the focal point for vibrations so it fatigues and finally snaps. A good welder might be able to weld in some angle aluminum to reinforce your new one - at least that is what I would start with. I'd run a 90* piece of aluminum face down over that main gallery on the outward facing side. Weld a bead on both edges. Should provide enough rigidity to keep it from breaking.

What condition are your motor mounts? I've seen engines move enough to hit the sensors on the housing off the frame.
