1G Second gen 3000gt brakes on 1g

Is it possible to put second gen 3kgt calipers on a 1g dsm? My friend has a set, and he claims the guy he bought them from had them on a dsm (bracket in pic) but not sure if it was a 2g or 1g. I have evo 8 wheels that will be going on the car too. All of the threads i see about the 3kgt calipers seem to be first gen 3kgt’s

Cool that’s good to hear. Did you have the rear ones on too? The parking cable works? Also any booster upgrade or master cylinder upgrade? I see some people use 3g boosters and masters. Lastly any chance you could point me in the right direction to rotors?

No rears 3000 vr4 rotors for fronts

You'll need ford cobra rotors when paired with those brackets.

Those may be 2nd gen 3kgt calipers. If so, they won't work with the cobra rotors.

Yes they are the 2g 3000gt calipers.

Disregard my last post. I guess there's 2 different styles of adapter brackets. One for 1g 3kgt and one for 2g 3kgt. They both utilize the cobra front rotor. But the difference in bolting lengths between the 2 calipers will dictate which bracket should be used. Based off the picture, Im not able able to say which bracket you have.

Yeah I’ll just have to see if they bolt up. Do you happen to know what year cobra rotors? Also i just now realized i can’t use the rear calipers cause then i won’t have an e-brake. The guy must have had them on a 2g dsm
