injector size would be helpful...its not on your mods list...and at 23-24 psi and 100 shot mine went boom....boost was set at 20psi but the nitrous spikes it.

Wasn't the nitrous or turbo's fault. You made it go boom. Nitrous will make about a 5-6psi spike. You probably didn't back your base timing down 4 deg. like you are supposed with a 100 shot of nitrous. Probably used pump gas while you were trying to do it as well. An SCM61 with 24psi should make maybe 400whp or so on pump gas. Adding the 100 shot of nitrous might bring it up to 500whp MAX. That's with perfect tuning and the correct jetting. As we all know, 99% of the people on here can't tune a car correctly or to the edge on gas, let alone on turbo AND nitrous. A stock bottom end can handle 500whp with no problems, as long as everything is tuned properly.

We don't know all the details, all your tuning settings, etc. So, I'll assume you ####ed it up. Nitrous doesn't blow motors. The guy tuning the nitrous does.

actually i was running c16, and i probably wasnt even quite to 500 hp at the crank even, considering i was only trapping 114, but considering this guy doesnt even know how much the bottom end can handle, i was suspecting he wasnt any better at tuning than me, but my log looked perfect on the few runs before that, with the nitrous and scm61, 18 deg. timing and a nice smooth increase until that 18, no drops, showing there was no knock, but i know it was my fault it blew, not blaming it on the nitrous or the turbo/boost. :thumb:

btw, the problem was determined to more than likely be the fact that I had approx. 2 gallons of gas left in the tank total, and it sloshed around the tank off the line and starved the system of fuel.

I love this turbo...
Pick up some 850's or bigger injectors, an afpr, and invest into dsmlink- you will not be dissapointed.. Tune your car for no knock and you should be able to run 20-23psi pretty safely..

1 more thing, on a gst turbo lag is your friend. This badboy wil give you some big mph on the big-end and allow you to have a little help with traction out of the hole. Tune your dsmlink to give you a smooth power entry when boost comes on. This turbo can come-on like a switch if you tune hard-core. Take your time getting to know/understand your car and you might go a season or 2 with-out breaking.

Good luck :thumb:
