Ok guys, I'm entirely on the fence with this whole "choose a turbo" situation.

I had an E3B16G, which decided to quit on me, so i need a new Turbo. So far the options are, stick with the 16g, knowing i'll want more eventually. The Gt32..which looked pretty good, and now the Dual Ball Bearing 50 trim from PTE.

I know the 50 trim has always been a great turbo, and with the BB center section, PTE is saying spool by 3000, which really isnt bad at all in my mind. I have all the mods to support it, the only thing i'll have to worry about is over killing my PTE small core FMIC, which can obviously be upgraded

So what does everyone think, any and all opinions will be greatly appreciated and taken into serious consideration. Thanks guys :thumb:

3000 rpms to see full spool seems a little lower then most see (unless they talking full boost of less then 10 psi ;) ) Most see in the mid 3000 range & will vary abit depending on mods. Defently not a laggy turbo probably only adds a few hundred rpms spool over the evoIII. There are a tonn threads on here on both these turbo's. Basically most call the 50 trim the pump gas king as it still produces a relatively cool charge compared to an evoIII once you start running the higher boost levels, this inturn allows you to run more boost on pump. The evoIII is a great little turbo but most tire of it failry quickly. If your worried about your core the 50 trim may actually work better for you as if your trying to run 18+ psi on the evoIII, your starting to get out of its effiency range & like I said making more heat. At these same boost levels the 50 trims charge will be a cooler temp, putting less strain on your smaller fmic.
