Toronto,
I am leaning more towards dual BB G50 turbo then regular one but I am just wondering is the difference in spool up/performance justifies the price of the turbo compared to normal one? My goal is mid 11’s on race gas (Low 12's on pump 94) with a good tune

Here is my current setup
Stock 7 Bolt
HKS 272s intake/exhaust Cams
Injen Intake with K&N Filter,
2.5” IC Piping,
31” FMIC (3” In/outlets),
HKS SSQV BOV,
NEW Style SBR exhaust Manifold ported with 38mm WG,
Tial 38 mm WG rerouted back to DP
2.5” Quick Time Performance Electric Exhaust Cut-Out
Hybrid Connection 2.5” O2 Sensor housing ported,
Custom welded stainless steel 2.5” DP, Magna Flow High Flow 3”CAT, 3” Cat Back with Magna Flow “Muffler”,
Denso 660CC Injectors,
Walbo 255 l/hr (rewired),
Aeromotive FPR with Gauge,
DSM Link (just bought it, still looking for EPROM ECU)
LC1 WB with a gauge
ACT 2600,
Forenza Light Flywheel

Let me know what kind of experience did you guys have with it

I can tell you right now the G50 is shit. All it is a turbonetics 50 trim or AGP RS49T. Do a quick search on it and you'll find out why. Mine died as well as many others.

Well, I have a new in the box SCM5031E that I'd let go for less than any advertised price you can find :) It's a 360* standard bearing model with the upgraded internal wastegate/flapper and such.

As far as whether the price justifies the extra money 50 trims spool very quickly, it would be nice to have but I really don't think it justifies the extra cash.

Agreed. Simply put, turbonetics CHRA have such a horrible history :| My G50 was on it's way on after 5k of 20psi abuse. Hardly worth the money for that short amount of time. I don't know if the BBG50 is a garrett CHRA, but my PTE BB5031 turbo is a garrett CHRA and i'm on 4k of 25psi abuse and she's holding up perfectly fine. :thumb:

Oh yea, BB > standard 360 any day of the week. :rocks:
