Fellows, i have a SBR G50 turbo with DSMLink and was wondering what can i expect to put out of it on pump gas?... Has anyone done any dyno pulls strictly on pump gas and a 50Trim?... also i'm planning on upgrading to 57trim soon with .63ar on the hot side. I just feel like the SBR G50 doesn't have the top end i was expecting.... i mean the car is quick.. it's just human nature to want more :D....

I have pte 50 trim and i cant even run 15 psi on it without knocking and thats of course on 91 pump so i ordered methanol/water injection we will see if that will help. I dynoed at 250 awhp which sucks i put that down on my 16g

Look at the mods in my profile. I run 28 psi with pump gas or race gas. With race gas I just ad more timing and lean it out some. This is on the stock block also.

You have something wrong with your car or tune then.

Original poster, what are your mods?

i had that turbo, but i'm now going onto a bigger one. I believe when i was not using methanol injection, I was able to run about 20psi on a mild tune. Once I got methanol injection, I got it tuned on at 26psi. Dsmlink logged about 43lbs/min of airflow.

I tuned my friends GVR4 with a g50 on pump gas 22 psi, no knock with AFC and MAFT tuning only it had only 2-3 counts of knock. Not sure what the HP numbers were since we never dynoes it but it pulled like a 400whp car thats for sure. Bolts ons were FMIC, ported 2g manifold/o2 housing, supra pump and 650's.

This forum isn't for bench racing, asking people what kind of power to expect is pretty useless. If you want to know the "50 trim" power potential, do some searching through the forums to see what others have made with a similar setup to yours. There are way to many variables to even give you close to a estimated guess.

My question to you is why would you "upgrade" from a "50 trim" to a "57 trim"? Trim doesn't refer to a turbo's size/power potential, its just a ratio of compressor wheel inducer vs exducer size. If you do some searching around, you'll find most wouldn't consider the 57 trim an upgrade vs the 50 trim. While I have never ran a 57 trim, looking at its compressor map, its not one I'd choose over the 50 trim.

I searched and couldn't find any hard #s except that Colt on E85...
also i don't post my mods for security reasons... ie. thiefs.... something that you in central canada don't have to worry about :)

I'm going 57trim because I'm getting that turbo for free so I'm going to compare the power potentials of both very soon... and post them here for people to have *some* reference...

btw i have almost identical mod list to 1992awdlasers'
