My parents bought two cars for themselves and I was silly enough to take them over. (right, didn't learn my lesson). One had a bad Flywheel, I paid good money to fix(among other things). The other was ready for a rebuild when I took it over, I was suppose to pay for the car but they went easy when I took out a loan for the motor.
