Should know that would take more fuel to burn just to melt snow than it'd be worth. When it's -17*F (-35 with the wind) any heat is quickly dissipated.

Should know you don't just start fires for the sake of it, there's too many things to catch on fire. And when I am burning something, throwing an old tire in has never come to mind.
