sat for 4 years. no headlights tail lights or brake lights

1990 awd sat for about 4 or 5 years. Towed the car to a new location and noticed the headlights, tail lights/brake lights don't work. Neither do foglights. But the hazards still work and the gauge cluster still illuminates. The headlight motors still work also. Fuses are still good. What are the odds that the relays all went bad after sitting for so long? What else should i look for? The wiring still looks good

Sounds likely to be the ground wires for the lights, many of them are shared, and can do exactly that. Just follow them, clean up the connections. Especially if it sat in grass.

it had weeds growing up through the engine bay and out of the headlights

Most likely mice ate some ground wires . My gvr4 had almost the same issue. Found a bunch or ground wires all chewed up, fixed them all which was not fun and all good

Thats something out of a movie hahaha i know it happens though so its the first thing i checked. The wires look fine from the lights through the engine bay and under the dash

tail light bulbs are fine. havent checked the big square headlights

Just had the same thing as well... check you're alternator fuse, my car sat for a few years and when I hooked up the battery it blew the fuse, but I also had the alt hooked up wrong after I put the motor in the other day

i wouldn't even think to check the alt fuse... wth i will take a look tomorrow
