General SAFC NE Points

Quick question: I've had my SAFC II in the car for just over a year. When I installed it, I set the NE points to 700, 1400, 2100, and so on, every 700 increments that the unit would allow. When I read over the proven DSM safc II tuning guide, it says to set the NE points to 1000, 2000, 3000, and so on, every 1000 increments. Am I okay at my 700 settings, or should I change it when I bring it out from storage to the every 1000 increments? Thanks a lot.
