after extensive searching ive come up with nothing and i need help...

im having serious boost creep issues (see mods in profile) and i finally got my hands on a BEP housing that will hopefully let me run the 20lbs of boost i want, not the 24lbs its creeping to.

so the BEP housing uses 3 bolts that hold it to the CHRA rather than the V-band that holds on the stock hotside. i installed the new bep hotside and now i can't get the water lines back on, the bolts that hold it to the CHRA won't clear. :banghead: now what?

i tried mocking up some spare AN fittings but it appears they wont clear either! does anyone have any pictures of a 16g w/ a BEP hotside bolted up with the waterlines? i can't find anything so ANY help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance

Saw the title and hoped i could help seeing as i ran that exact same setup for a few years, but I had one of the BEP housings that used a large snap ring to hold the turbine housing on.

I would just try rotating the housing a bit to see if that helps.

Any pictures of the exact dilema?

One thing to note... when you do get it on it WILL cure your boost creep. Worked for me. After a couple years though the flapper broke and i got NO boost, so i just converted to external 38mm of the o2 housing.

...im wondering why mine didn't come with a snap ring, thats what i thought they normally ran?

heres the prob.

i would seriously want to see your pics too
because as I know they have discontinued producing BEP housings for td05 CHRA, did u use a garrett type BEP ?

i contacted BEP and they said whoever they got the snap ring from stopped manufacturing them so thats when they switched to the bolt on style. no word on what to run for waterlines though. ill get some pictures up first thing when ive got a computer and not a phone. anyone have a snap ring for a 16g bep housing lying around or a solution for the waterlines?
thanks...

Try bolting the water lines on first. Then aim the flat sides of the banjo bolts toward the exhaust housing so you have maximum clearance, obviously after you have tightened it a good amount. It should work then. I had to take off my compressor cover off and clock the the exhaust housing out of the way just to get my oil feed line on. Mounted it to point towards the radiator, then put the turbo back to proper position. Hope this helps

You could just not run the water lines, if there is no other solution. Many have done it with no issues. It was designed to prevent damage from hot shutdowns. If you let the car idle before shutting it off, they aren't necessary.

i was debating on whether i should do this or not since some turbos only run oil lines. common sense caught up with me though, mitsu turbos are designed to have coolant circulate through the CHRA so it would probably be a good idea to keep it that way and i don't have a turbo timer either so letting it idle before shutdown would = me coming into work late EVERYDAY. :nono:

bep said to run flat allen head bolts instead of the bolts that came with the housing. im going to take it all apart and see if this corrects the problem, if it does ill post up more pictures if anyone else runs into this problem.

i attached a picture of what i was talking about, sorry it took so long...
