I was thinking about getting a S-AFC before I put in a 2g MAS and bigger injectors (550s) in my 1g. :talon:

I also need some datalogging software (preferably for a laptop, since I don't have a PDA).

Then I heard about the ECU +

Getting this would kill two birds with one stone.

I'd get something to make adjustments with and have something to data log.

Does anyone have experience with ECU plus on a 1g?

What are the benefits of S-AFC vs. ECU + vs. DSMLink?
When is the 1g DSMlink coming out?

If those are your 3 options, go with DSMLink.

ECU+ will not take the place of a logger, because it does not have the ability to datalog a lot of the thngs you need for tuning.

I'm curious. What sorts of things do you think need to be added, besides knock?

thats what im screamin, i hear this summer, but godamn, isnt it summer somewhere already?!

that would be ####ing sweet:thumb: dsmlink for a 1g. hopefully it comes out this summer ill be set then.

Go with the dsmlink:thumb: I have it in my 92tsi now. I had a S-afc, Rc550's and 2gmas it was ok but it's no dsmlink. I don't think there will be a 1g link. The guys at dsmlink know we are making the 2g work for us. The EVO is next. That's what I'm hereing on the dsmlinks forums.
Just my 2 cents

I thought the DSMLink was just for 2g's, or people who have taken the time and effort to swap a 2g ECU into a 1g car. Correct me if i'm wrong, because if I am, im going to go buy a DSMLink Setup haha

Yes it is only for a 2g. But you can make the harness that plug in to are cars. It plug in to the 2g ecu and are cars harness it is not that bad just takes time.:thumb:

what write up did you use? I know there's acouple out there, I"d be really interested in doing this mod too, im tired of the Safc...

also, how much did DSMlink + the Eprom ECU cost you? notice any changes from your old ECU (better fuel maps? )

thanks

If you are saing that, It's to much Lol, I have about 750-800 in everthing and you can not get a standalone for are car for that. You wil NOT find one for that ........;) they are like 1300 or 1400 for the aem.

targeT I got my write up of here and dsmtalk and just went with it it's not bad at All to do just takes time I worked on my harness off and on tell I got it done. You will think the afc is a joke when you are done:thumb: go to dsmlink.com and look what at all the V2 has..
