someone please give me some pointers I just swapped my old haggard harness out for the new harness rywire offers

Everything went pretty well but there Is one thing I could not figure out the

the charge warning light I'm not sure what wire this is. as In the signal or what should be receiving the signal and not sure where this wire should hook up

Here is a list from rywire for the wired needing to be connected

4G63 loose wire pinout (view connector in wire order, we are aware there are a couple wires matching. Please view in order)

1) blk/yel - Alternator 12V switched power source (or ignition switch power).
2) wht/blu - Charge warning light on gauge cluster
3) red/grn - Mailfunction indication light (engine warning light)
4) black/yel - EGR control
5) red/blk - Constant ecu power(battery power) 10A fuse
6) blk/grn - AC switch
7) red/blk - AC relay control
8) brwn - EXTRA (to extra plug in engine bay)
9) brwn/yel - EXTRA (to extra plug in engine bay)
10 brwn/wht - EXTRA (to extra plug in engine bay)
11 yel/grn - H20 (dummy light for gauge)
12) yel/wht - VSS (speed sensor for gauge)
13) yel/red - Power steering switch from ecu
14) blk/white - Coil/Ignition power (To ignition switched power source)
15) red - Fuel pump power (to fuel pump +)
16) wht - Relay constant power (To Battery source)
17) blk - Ground (to chassis ground)
18) orng/yel - EXTRA (to extra plug in engine bay)
19) orng/blk - EXTRA (to extra plug in engine bay)
20) orng/blu - EXTRA (to extra plug in engine bay)

* 1,5,14,15,16,17 are are only necessary wires for powering up the ECU

White 2 pin connector (optional, not for instalation use)

1) Ecu diagnostic pin 1
2) Ecu diagnostic pin 2

Anyone Swapped to a rywire harness yet?

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

the charge warning light I'm not sure what wire this is. as In the signal or what should be receiving the signal and not sure where this wire should hook up

The alternator has a two pin connector in addition to the B+ cable on the stud. Pin 1 (alternator S terminal) on that connector goes to Sub Fusible link 4 and pin 2 (alternator L terminal) runs to both the alternator "relay" (in fact a resistor and diode in series) and to the gauge cluster for the alternator warning light. I assume that's the wire in question.

Thanks for the reply
I guess I'll have to ohm the wire from the harness to the cluster and from the harness to the alt and see what wire goes where then.

So the rywire harness as they put it is "flying lead" so at the end of the harness there is a 20 pin connector (pin out shown above) off the connector is a 20 wire pigtail these 20 wires need to be connected to the original wiring left behind as stated on there site only 5 are needed but I would like to be as close to fully functional as possible

This connector is under the dash very close to the Ecu connectors what I am trying to do is find out if it is the signal wire or the wire coming from the cluster it say "charge warning on cluster" so I would imagine it's the signal from the alternator to the light on the cluster.

What I was saying is I would ohm out the wire from inside the car pin (2) blu/wht from the 20pin connector to the pin (L) on the alt if they are connected then it would seem that the wire needs to be connected to the light in the cluster correct?

You should have a copy of the FSM electrical manual for the car. If not get them from this post http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/service-manuals.501990/

You'll see from it that originally there was a Black/White wire from connector B-19 pin 2 on the alternator that goes to two places. As a Black/White wire to connector C-68 pin 2 and as a White wire to connector A-06X pin 2.

I don't know how their harness deals with the White wire branch but it sounds like your looking for the Black/White wire on C-68 pin 2.

The Alternator L terminal is used to provide the initial energizing current for the field coils. In the factory wiring that current comes from both paths (parallel circuit). The bulb in the cluster provides both current and an indicator where the "alternator relay" serves as a backup if the bulb burns out and shares the load.
