So, recently posted a few threads on my cars poor idle. i am getting way to much fuel. Its Getting in my oil leaking out through the turbo manifold. it backfires like crazy. Now i went and checked a few things my aftermarket fuel pressure regulator is in between 40-45 psi. my safc 2 is zeroed out. i have stock 450cc with a walboro 255. i have a wideband o2, lc1 i believe thats wired in to where the stock o2 was. now the car ran great before the ecu blew. i have an eprom ecu currently. all out of ideas. the more i decrease fuel with the safc 2 she doesnt want to pick up on the petal. so i keep it at zero. reall want to fix her before summer. any ideas?

Is it possible the ecu had been flashed prior to you installing it? Reading that the car ran well before the ecu install, leads one to believe the ECU would be the first place to begin diagnosing.

the original ecu did have the dsmlink on it, however it was taken out of the car by the original owner. the prior owner had the car and he said it ran fine without the link that was on it before. he showed me the ecu all the caps were burnt out. the isc motor was replaced too. i dont know where to start on tuning. we checked compression and all that. the motor is strong. just drowning in fuel. i thought the safc was supposed to control fuel levels. very confusing.

okay, I was referring to the newly installed ECU. I was suggesting that its possible the ECU that was installed most recently (when the car started over-fueling) may have a tune on it from wherever you got it from, which would prevent your SAFC from being able to compensate as well as it would with a stock tune.
You say the car ran great before the ECU blew. The only thing that has been changed since then is the ECU, meaning the new ECU could be the source of you running rich.
If the ECU is stock, you can also check the simple stuff first.
Upstream o2 sensor, coolant temp sensor, ensure the MAF is plugged in, check safc wiring at the ECU harness

it all works currently the ecu is stock, either going to switch to the link or a standalone. funds are rough at the moment but still saving. if i use these i can make the fuel levels right again?

Most likely, assuming there isnt something underlying that is causing too much fuel to be delivered.
If you do switch to link, be sure to remove the SAFC first and rewire the airflow wire to the ECU. I had this issue when switching from SAFC to Ecuflash and wasnt getting any airflow readings to the ECU since they were all still being directed to the SAFC which was unplugged.

the original owner just tapped into that wire with the safc2. i believe all original wires are still connected to the harness. i believe the safc is just tapped into them.

Is it possible your fuel pressure gauge is not correct? I've had plenty of the little regulator mounted gauges stray pretty far from accurate.
No front o2 signal will keep the ecu from entering closed loop mode, and if it's stuck in open loop, yes it will run rich. With stock injectors I'd think it'd be hard to spray enough fuel for it to leak out of the exhaust like that, even with screwed up ecu settings. Maybe one of your injectors is stuck open, if it's really dumping that much fuel.

Yeah thats a good point but its even getting into the oil probably flooding the cylinders ill have to inspect nore tommorrow ill take the fuel rail off check out the injectors replace the o2 and check the regulator see what happens

No. Its the front o2 its the way i bought the car i had no idea but i guess that would be the culprit. Can the be causing exessive fuel?
Absolutely, the ECU uses that input to control short term fuel trim. If I'm not mistaken, if that sensor is missing, the ecu sees a lean input and sends significantly more fuel.

Put the new o2 in i removed the rail and inspected the injectors looks like one of them was loose the only spairs i had were the 550's so i put them in set the safc -10 and, adjusted the regulator to 43psi now she runs like a lawnmower i get no power to the throttle its really confusing

I'd be checking spark. Sounds to me you may have at least 1 cylinder not firing correctly which would flood the cylinder with unburnt fuel which would end up in the oil. Pull each plug and see if they are burning clean or dripping fuel. I would also test if each plug is firing properly.

If a cylinder isn't firing it would also explain backfiring and rough running. And if a cylinder isn't firing, making adjustments with the afc to lean out will only make things worse since you have now created an incorrect fuel mixture in the other cylinders that are firing properly.
