Running the lc-1 wires from engine bay to cabin on 1g.

I'm surprise nobody has posted this or asked about it. Well, on to the questions:
How are you guys running your lc-1 wiring from the engine bay to the cabin on a 1g or 2g? Preferably 1g. What about the lc-1 controller? Engine bay or cabin? If you have it in the engine bay, where are you placing it? I'm worried about the excessive heat produced near the engine where the stock o2 sensor is. As you can see, all of or most of the wiring there is all toasted and brittle. This would suck if it happens to the lc-1. Now if you were able to somehow magically move /install the lc-1 in the cabin, please share! Is there a way of extending the o2 sensor wire in a way that it won't hinder the signal and overall quality of the same?
Please post experience, thoughts and if very possible pictures which would be greatly appreciated.

On my 2g:
Controller - Engine bay behind driver side light
Wires - Steering boot

On buddies 1g
Controller - Engine bay behind driver side light
Wires - Steering boot

You could locate it in the cabin (controller) but you would have to place the sensor much further down stream and drill a hole in the floor board and install a grommet to run the wires through.

Closer the sensor to the source the better

I guess I didn't posted. I actually want to install the o2 sensor on the stock o2 housing location. For those that have their wideband sensor on the stock location, how do you reach all the way to the A pillar since the wiring is about 6ft long and where do you run the wiring through the fire wall? I would use the booth grommet right under the master cylinder is but I already have my fuel pump rewire, vacum lines for the boost gauge and the is another cable there. I think its for the cruise control.

So does anybody have any pics or share where they placed their lc1 and how they ran their wires through the fire wall while placing their o2sensor on the stock location?

As I said, steering boot. Both vehicles are running narrow band simulation.

Would you happen to have any pics as to how and where you mounted your LC-1?? I know you say that behind the drivers side light but I would like to see it in a picture if you could provide with one.
