running a maft with 16g and 550cc inj.?

ok so my boy has a tsi awd 2g with a turbo back exhaust a rewired wally 255 afpr stock t25 and some uninstalled 550cc inj, i got a spare 3 inch gm maf and maft translator my question is the translator going to be enuf for him to get a desent street tune for those injectors? if so what kinda boost is he looking at with the t25? and what about if i could get him in to a 16g or at least a 14b? heres a pic of the translotor its a 2.01

Yes the translator will work with the 550s. Just set the translator to 550s and it will compensate. Does either of you have a logger of some sort to be able to see what kind of adjustments you can make with the translator? The t25 isnt going to hold much more boost than stock. Your looking at like 15-16 psi and then its just blowing hot air. A 14b or 16 would net way better results than the T2small.

i have a logger with evoscan he is just shooting for 300 350awhp so how much boost you think he could tune it on a 16g with those mods?

According to RRE website about 20-21 psi. I was running out of inj on my 650s at 24-25 psi and 11:1 AFR, so that is about right. A FMIC would be nice to have at that boost level IMO.

It mostly depends on the tuner, the maft can compensate for thos injectors easily.

15 psi max on the t25, 18 psi max on the 14b, 300+ hp with that setup and an evo316g would be easy.

You could push upwards of 20ish psi with the 16g but I would be wary of running out of injector. 650s would be better if you were to go with a 16g. Also as stated the stock sidemount will be blowing hot air before you hit 20 psi. A fmic or a supra side mount would help float the boat.
