running 2g maf and 550 injectors with small 16g

i tried finding another forum to resolve my issue/questions so here we go bought a 1990 gs has a 16g small turbo running 18psi 550 precision injectors got a awesome deal for 96 bucks on the injectors 2g maf and 2g manifold. no wideband no afc or anything was wondering if the maf would even out with the injectors just to use as a DD.

I ran a set up similar to the that . Each car is going to run different It may be close.. it may not ... You would still need some sort of fuel tuning to make it right . If you have access to a logger you could put them a on and see how it's running.

It's best to get something to tune with like a safc or similar. But it does about even out I have my gvr4 set up this way as well only with a 14b, runs pretty good and handles alittle more boost.

Ya, it will work. I would turn the boost down since you have no logger or wide band and running a 16g.

yeah i was reading somewhere i want to say dsmtalk and it was something about removing two of the bottom honeycomb to keep it from running rich and im trying to get a safc

how much boost should i run?

It depends on what psi of fuel pressure Precision rates their injectors at. People have problems running that combo with say RC injectors because they rate theirs at a higher fuel pressure. Dont quote me on this, but something like 50 or 55psi.

Auto or manual fpr will change the outcome as well.

okay well i have my eye on a apexi safcII for 100 bucks that will work on my 1g right? the reason i ask is because it was on a 97 talon http://stlouis.craigslist.org/pts/3643473840.html

That sounds close the the setup I had on my 1g. I would give a big +1 on at least an safc, but an safc 2 would be best ### it can show spark knock. And the safc 2 is a universal unit with instructions that are available via searching google.
