RS49T+SMIC+DSMLINK good for a ~300-350whp sleeper???

I was wodering how this setup would work:

98' GST
3"o2 back exhaust
dejon tool super SMIC, pipes, intake 1g BOV
RS49T at ~19-20psi on pump
~650cc inj, 255FP, and DSMLINK

I would like a stealthy/reliable 300-350whp on pump. With a stock weight GST would that be good for 110mph traps?

It should work just fine, make sure that you have a good fuel management for that much PSI. Also if a sleeper is what your after (which I love and am good at building) check out forced performance, they make a killer turbo called the sleeper 16g. I was going to get it but my car got wrecked first.

as far as sleeper I mean no big FMIC, ATM. BOV, and a zillion a piller guages.

DSM link is a great tool for tuning. I loved mine before I sold it.

Also I forgot that is pretty much what I define as a sleeper as well. The trick is keeping the exhaust reasonable.

i'll say for the sleeper look go with a supra smic, and either fp sleeper 16g or a bastard 20g from slowboy.

I like everything stealthy. That way when somebody says "hey whats it got?" You just pop you hood and say I don't know I heard these cars were supposed to be quick and act like you know nothing about cars. Let him go back to his riced out civic feeling like he's got this one in the bag. Then you blow his doors off, and embarass him in front of his cute blonde girlfriend, and the rest of buddys. Then you can come back laughing cause he just fell victim to a sleeper. Also Jiffy Lube oil chance stickers on the winshield, stock rims, and a bad body all enhance the image, just don't over do it.

If your not worried about what it looks like under the hood then I'd get a bastard 20g. If you do care what it looks like under the hood and are going for total sleeper, than a 16g wouldn't work too well if it's a 98. If anyone knows anything about DSM's they'll no T25's dont have a J-pipe. Just a thought though.

The average person knows nothing about DSM's. From what I've seen the only people who know anything about DSM's are DSM'ers. But I still prefer stealth overeverything else. I may not get all the girls but who cars when it comes down to it winning is all I really care about.

the rs49 and dsmlink and good tuning and 350hp isnt a problem.

though the smic is holding you back, you will have a hard time tuning once the knock start in.

id recommend a alchy/h20 injection to help with intake temps though. dsmlink has a nitrous/h2o injcetion feature that will engage it automatically at certain rpm/throttle. you want it to start spraying before knock to supress it, if you spray too late it wont make a difference.

i say go with the rs49, though if anyone knows a dsm under the hood itll be a dead giveaway. i too am for the 20g if you want people to think its a sleeper, and just tell them its a stock 14b from a 1g since the dealership wanted 1200 for a new t25, you had to settle for the crappier one........(which is a lie btw but what do honduhs know, and a even better lie since it isnt even a 14b but a 20g).

BUt the average person does know what a turbo is . Don't pop your hood for him civic guys aren't as stupid as you guys think. I have some pretty slow honda friends and even they know that a turbo car vs a non turbo car in most cases goes to the turbo car. Your right about exhaust, bov, and fmic though if you cut those out and make sure you don't have any turbo badges and refrain from reving it you could get away with saying you have a CAI and a cat back even say something dumb like you got a race chip that gives you 100 hp. Actually that isn't that dumb cause the links eprom chip and tuning does just that

I have a 2g awd and on the stock 7 bolt with fmic, afc, anf fuel, i put down 302awhp at 20-21 psi on 93 with a shitty tune due to no afpr and hot day. You are fwd, do the math.
Oh yeah this was the rs49t internaly gated on stock 2g ported mani, o2 dump and 3 inch exhaust. I dunno how big the dejon smic is but this turbo is pretty big so i imagine it moves a good amount of air. Maybe a supra smic would be better.

All I did was post my past experince BUILDING a sleeper 1g. Look at my gallery, you will see my first attempt at a DSM, a ricer wanna be NT 96 GS, and second more well thought out approach, my sleeper GSX. Under hood it looked bone stock, interior the same no gauges nothing, hell I even put non turbo seats in the thing, along with removing all the badges, but it put down about 320 hp and ran a 12.8. No need to get hostile about weather to pop or not pop the hood. That was just my opinion from what I did, he can take any route he wants. He has more than enough info now and suggestions, balls in his court.

I don't think it is going to work. I am currently running a 16G on a Hahn racecraft sidemount. It is BIG for a sidemount and is supposed to support 450hp or something like that. Anything above 18psi, the knock was out of control. Even on racegas. I use DSMlink and had a very rough time tuning it out....I couldn't advance any timing and was having to add fuel in.....didn't make for a very fast car. I then added water injection, which helped a little bit, but I still had issues. I have since switched from water to methanol.....haven't had a chance to get to the track with high boost but the meth seems to have helped a lot. This has been my experience with just a 16G.....are you sure you want to try it with a 50 trim?
