I have a 2g equipped with a 16g and rre install kit. I was just wondering if I can use the same oil line for the 50 trim? I heard something oil pressure being to high can damage the 50trim seals and the appropriate oil line is required.

Can someone enlighten me as I don't want to damage the 50 trim?

lines only 50 bucks man. besides u'd have to hack the one you got right now because the 16g line has a banjo fitting.

If you have the SS oil feed line for the 16g, then all you need is a single new fitting to connect the line to the turbo. You can find the fitting at Home Depot (and probably Lowes, too), the part number is A-80 in the brass fittings section. :thumb:

EDIT>> I was able to do this with my T04b, so I'm not 100% positive that it will work with the T04e housing (not sure if the center cartridges are different).

With the RRE kit, if I remember right, they give you a 24" line from the oil filter housing to the turbo, which then uses a 12mm banjo bolt and adapter for the 14b/16g style turbo's. This line will certainly work except for the fitting at the turbo. I'm not sure how their line works, it should just have a swivel end that you can attach to different fittings. You'll need a 90* fitting that threads into the turbo and faces straight out to your oil line. When using a dry center section standard bearing turbo, you'll want more oil pressure than you'll get from the head.
