Our 2g Eclipse gst 1997
From matic converted to manual F5M311 Tranny

When rapidly accelrating and reaches 4k rpm the rpm drops down

What could cause the drop?

Other says i need a Fuel Pressure Regulator
If i do so what psi should i set to a an all stock 4g63T

Should i also change the stock fuel pump

Thanks for the advices!!

please fill out a vehicle profile. We do not have enough information to help you diagnose. What have you done already? Did it ever run well since the manual conversion? We have to assume it ran well before because you haven't told us. We need more information please.

We changed the fuel Pump and now its running good, we will try installing a fuel pressure regulator if it would run better. Fuel cut was the problem of decrease of rpm
Thanks

Fuel cut is a function of airflow not lack of fuel. If you had a bad fuel pump and a new one fixed the problem it was simply a pump. Fuel pressure regulator won't change anything unless the old one is bad or you've put a very large fuel pump which will overrun a stock fuel pressure regulator.
