i know about what offset to run on the front with 17x8's, but if i run 17x8.5 on the rear what's the most reliable and performance oriented offset to run?

My car is FWD and NT

If you're really interested in being "performance oriented," you'll put the wider wheels on the front of your front-heavy, FWD car.
