8.5" wide Wheels?

Has anyone had 8.5" wide wheels on there 95-99 GST. I was wondering what kind of fitament issues you had if any.

It's the tires that can give you fitment problems, not the wheels.

The most common friction spots, which I believe Defiant aptly named scylla and charybdis, are the rear steering knuckle and the fender flange. Contact is typically made by the tire, not the wheel.

I got some 19x8.5 Axis Hiros and with falken azenis tires and the only problem i have is a slight bit of rubbing. It seems to only happen when i am at high speed and his some pretty big bumps.

Wow, thats crazy because im getting the 18" Axis Hiros, thats why i asked. Those wheels are beautiful and can clear a huge caliper for a big brake upgrage.

YEah? sweet choice. What finish did you go with? I got the anthrecites cuse i saw the silvers and they looked a little too bright for my taste. Im putting in a Rotora 4 piston BBK and that was the reason for getting my hiros on.

Way back when, before the onset of The War, when things were fun on DSM_autoX list, I did my best to put my thrown-out-of-public-school-and-sent-to-boarding-school education to use by bringing such things as whirlpools and rocks into everyday conversation. I miss those days.

Im doing the 18" Anthracite because my eclipse is the gray pearl color. Im putting on the Bear front brake kit. You may want to look into upgrading the rears also if your doing 4 piston in front, that may be a little too big and throw off your brake balance which can cause steering issues while braking.
