I was wondering if someone who has a 17x8 inch wheel and coilovers (small springs) could measure the closest point between the tire and spring and wheel and spring. I have no problem rolling the fenders a bit to get some more room, I just want to know how wide I can go. I'd love to run a 255 hoosier on 17x8.5 wheels.
I just want to know the offset of the wheel, and the space between your suspension and tires.
I'm thinking that a 17x8.5 (or 9) wheel with a 30mm offset would work.
255s won't fit inside the fender without rubbing the suspension. the distance between mine (245s, 40mm offset, GCs) is not big enough to fit any more. people running 255s let them stick out past the fenders.
and there is nothing to roll on the fenders.
. If i would be running alittle negative camber i don't think it would be an issue.
Ill probably get new tires anyways, so if I get new suspension first I should be in the clear. Maybe I can just run negative camber and cancel the uneven wear out.
