I ran my GSX with the throttle body accelerating an RPM of 4,000 on its own without acceleration on pedal.
I drove it like that for a couple of days and I noticed that smoke was coming out of exhaust, I got the throttle fixed, but now my mechanic says all the smoke might be the rings or maybe the turbo that got damaged with the acceleration it had forcing the engine.

•¿Question is, if the problem is the rings, are all the 97 GSX Turbo same ring sizes or all they all different sizes?
•¿And if it’s the turbo can I put a bigger one than the one it had? Where is the best place to buy a quality one?

Thank you!

What color is the smoke and when do you see it?

It sounds like you need a new mechanic. Those two "diagnosis" are very expensive repairs considering the symptoms. You/your mechanic need to properly diagnose them unless you like throwing money at it. Considering you are seeking help from a public forum, I doubt that is your intention.

A compression and leak down test will give you a good idea of the condition of the rings, valves and head gasket. Check your turbo for shaft play and for oil in the intake.

Something simple/cheap that could help is a catch-can inline with the valve cover breather and the intake snorkel (assuming it's the rings).

@dwb is absolutely right. Don't jump to turbo replacement or engine rebuild without thorough diagnostics first. There are several things that can cause burning oil, more likely causes - valve seals, valve guides, head gasket, pcv valve... Guessing the cause of a problem is easy, and often not accurate. Do the diagnostics and get a firm answer as to the cause. You wouldn't go get chemotherapy just because a doc says you "probably have cancer" would you?

To answer your questions:

Rings - if the (blue) smoke just happened after your throttle problem, and if that is traced to the rings, then it is likely there is damage to the cylinder bore too. Just reringing the engine would not be the right thing to do. If this is the case you should have the engine pulled, disassembled, and mic'd; you'd likely need the cylinders bored, meaning you're looking at a rebuild. You'd probably need new pistons, which will come with new rings.

Turbo - turbos aren't like light bulbs...you can't just put a bigger one in to get more light/power. Well, you CAN go a little bigger, but you won't be able to use much of that added pressure before you start needing other supporting mods like a fuel pump, injectors, tuning, etc. Plus, modifying the boost too much can begin to cost a lot. If you truly have a turbo issue and want to go bigger, best to set a budget and power goal first, then begin researching info on here and asking questions. There are several good, reliable turbo options, and your goals and how deep your pockets are will determine what you should do.
