I can barely shift when my car hasn't been driven overnight. The gears are so stiff it will not go into any gear, finally after forcing it will engage, but it takes serious muscle, fifth is always the hardest to get into and after it warms up its its not bad, but first gear is always a pain during normal driving. Also it usually grinds going into reverse. When I had my base idle set at the dealer they said that my slave cylinder was bad, could this be causing it. I changed my tranny fluid to royal purple no luck. Its getting annoying to have to go through the motions before I can drive my car when its not warm. Oh and my clutch picks up RIGHT at the floor. Any advice, thanks!

yeah not so much worried about the reverse grinds, i usually go fourth then reverse and that seems to help. as far as the super hard shifting problem when the car hasn't been run, its been going on now for at least a couple of months but has gotten worse lately. I ordered a slave cylinder and I'm going to bleed everything, hopefully that will help

Yes. I always find it amusing that people list a problem and give the solution in the first post.

You will need to replace the master cylinder as well. Since the same amount of wear is applied to both.
