reverse gauge installation probs

i just installed my reverse gauges and while i was slipping the gauge around the needle for the gas gauge i had to move the needle. I know i am close to empty on my gas because the light is on but its at half right now. Should i just move the needle again or is it gone? Has anyone had this problem? Fixed it?

I had the same thing happen to me when I put indiglo gauges on my Ford Escort a few years ago. You should be able to pull the needle off the pintle and reposition it to the desired location. Don't expect your placement to be exact. Perhaps the easiest way to do this is, go to the gas station, fill her up and reposition the needle on full. Good luck

i think i got it but i moved the needle to empty and filled up about half tank and it but it took a long time for it to regiester. I'm assuming that it moves slower due to the weather. It was about 35-40 degrees. but it took amost 3 hours till it regitered completely.

does anyone know if there's a factory spec on what the gas reserve is? I mean.. how much gas is supposed to be left when the light comes on.. without looking it up I'm pretty sure our tanks are 63 liters and in my old 1g when I filled it up I would put about 48L into the tank with the light recently turning on... I don't usually let the light on go on, I fill it up at around a 1/4, but I'm curious to see if my gauge is still in spec.. I'm gonna let it come on with this tank cause I want to see how far I'm getting on a tank.. when I do refill it I'll see what the reserve is on my 2g.

when the light comes on you have roughly 2 gallons. Thats how mine is along with my 3000gt.
