That's the same place I tapped mine... It should work. Hey nice strut tower bar :thumb: I also have the other tap in the pic hooked up to the same line that goes to the FPR (this is for my ProfecA though).

looks correct to me. i did it in he same place. does it not read at all or what's going on? maybe you didn't get the host connected to the back of the gauge good enough?

btw, what strut bar is that? looks like the procarparts one. does it work. i have heard that the adjustable ones don't work as good?

ya the hose is a cheap pos i might need to get some good tube to run to the guage, the strut bar i got off ebay for like 30 bucks including shipping it works freakin GREAT. i had a custom made one my friend got for a chunk of change and this one works just as well, u guys knw where i can tap the firewall i came to notie its a pain in the butt

thanks

Yeah, I tend to stay away fom the nylon line, it can't be bent in sharp angles without pinching. I used #8 vaccume hose I got from a local MB Service shop. I then went with a 1/8-1/8" NPT Riser for the back of the Autometer guage and pluged it into the end of the vaccume hose. -No problems/leaks yet (3 yrs later).

RE: cheap Strut bars... Sounds like u got the same deal I got... 30 bux takes it... It works just as good as any other I've tried... Who cares who makes it (I don't even know).

u know. the other guys said they have the vacuum hose tapped same place as you but in v faq it says to tap it into that top hose with the blue markings..that what i did and it works fine..i would tap it into that blue hose and see what happens.

Don't go by the color of the hose, look at where the hose comes from.

You want to tap into the hose that goes from the intake manifold, to a solenoid, to the fuel pressure regulator. Make sure to tap in betweem the manifold and the solenoid.

so i was lookin at the pics you all put up i have a 93 tsi an it seems like the owner before me removed that dock so im kinda lost on how to hook up my aftermarket boost gauge an also what else does that support?
