i know some one in the race scene must know about this. ok well i just got another dsm a 95 awd talon when i got it it was running like shit worked on it got it running beautifully then i was out at the races. half ways down in third gear i'm about to hi red line and the car kindof seemed like it hit rev limitor but it knoked like the governor would then the car compleatly died and it's still not turning on cheked all fuses all are good anyone have any idea what it could be ???

I recommend that you take your counterfeit DSM back.
no real DSM has a distributor, rotor, cap etc.

I guess this could be considered a joke, an insult, or a lack of knowledge. Look up a SOHC and tell me it's not a distributor.

Other than it's considered bad manners to correct grammar and spelling it's like the pot calling the kettle black when mouth engages before brain. Let's try to be productive rather than counter~

yep, I forgot to go back and add the winkies to make it a funny instead of an insult.

Point of fact SOHCs don't come in GS-T or GSXs, the rest of them being DSMs... well thats an old debate that was ruled one way in the Talon Digest days, and is interpreted by you another way apparently. The fact that he said he had a new cap,etc, and then said yes, new rotor too, in response to a question makes me believe he doesn't even have a DSM, or at the very least points out he is not being truthful or really shouldn't work on a car. Why waste time? He can take it to a mechanic if he is not gonna be truthful in his responses, or can't tell the difference between plugs, and plugs cap and rotor. Asking me or anyone else to diagnose his car in those conditions is like asking a hogtied man to swim the english channel. You gave clear directions but they are so far above his level of knowledge you might as well have asked him to read binary.

anyway apologies for getting pissed off a la Defiant, but this is why i frequent this particular forum less and less.

look attack eagle i'm not here to talk shit about anyone or anything like that so i think if you dont have any thing positive to say then u should stay quiet. when i got the car she had told me that it had all been changed and it was all new coil pack*, plugs, wires, ect... i work on hondas all day every day but my race car is a dsm so yes i was tired when i wrote that and confused what i was trying to say it didn't come to mind so please dont come here ranking for one little mistake and if you have any thing else to say lets take it to the track and settle it there. and as for GTM thanks alot for your help and thanks to all the rest of you that aloso help me out it turned out to be a wiering problem. the main plug for the injectors was not makeing good contact and therefor it acted how it did now it is running fine thanks once again.

Makes you understand that some people shouldn't be let out of their cage and interact in a social environment. It's bad enough to have car problems and the associated stresses only to have someone thumping thier chest on top of it.
