[RESOLVED] what is my best route

ok i want to go to an atmospheric blow off and i know i need to get a 3'' gm maf but i was wondering what would be my best bet an apexi afc , hks eids or the dsm link. i was also wondering if there is an engine management i can use through my indash dvd player?

dsmlink is known to be really good. I have the dsmlink and it seems fairly easy to learn from if you are willing to learn and read on the forums. You will need a Maf translator to run a gm maf as well. you can just get the maf translator. I think. I know the maf has to be calibrated.

To run an atmospheric bov you must have a maf-t. If you have the money I would just go with dsmlink and forget the cool sound of the bov. You will get a lot more performance with dsmlink than just a maf-t.

You cannot run a GM MAF with only a S-AFC for management.

I agree with Jay, get link, and never look back. If you have deep pockets, get a GM MAF+translator and dsmlink.

i have the maf, maft and dsmlink, but probably should have just gotten the 2g maf and dsmlink. the 2g maf is pretty cheap used and will be good for about 450 hp, then you can used the fake maf on the dsmlink.

I was in the same boat. I ended up selling my tial bov (cant recirculate) and bought an hks (can recirculate) and dsmlink. I am now going to sell my safc. so now I have probably the best tuning software and a properly functioning bov and it didn't really cost me that much more!

I haven't ever dealt with the HKS system, so I didn't feel like making an ass out of myself my first week.

Yes, you still need the maf-t.

The new version of dsmlink that hasnt been released yet is suspossed to work with the gm mas and you want need a translator. Last time i heard the release date was going to be in august for it. So if you can wait you want need the translator.
