[RESOLVED] timing belt walking off a little bit

my timing belt started walking off the gears a little bit today. it was fine yesterday, but all of a sudden i noticed today it was moving off the gears about 2mm and its going to chew up the sides of the belt, so i need to fix this. any ideas on what is happening. the exhaust cam gear does look like it wobbles a little bit, but if there was a problem with the cam gear it should have been walking off yesterday too. maybe the gear loosened? any ideas?

ya my engine did that and all my pulleys are new t/b tensioner idler (hydrolic tensioner) and all that i fired it up a few times and its been moving out idk what 2 do???

Seems fairly obvious to me that you need to take it apart and re-check things, or have somebody qualified do it for you.

Im guessing your tensioners arent working too well.. also the wobbling cam gear dont help out too much>>

My old 91 did that, even with new stuff. It never went far though, just enough to scare me at first and never moved farther.
