[RESOLVED] Reverse deep rumble sound (backfire)

For the past few months when I am in reverse it sounds like I am constantly backfiring. It started when I installed my Cat-Back and has continued since.

It sounds alot like backfiring. I can get it NOT to make the sound if I slip the clutch a LOT until it's in gear, and then have to be EXTREMELY light on the gas, or it will make the sound every time the car jerks backward. If I give to much gas the sound will continue for a second even after the clutch is in

Sounds pretty noob but it's pretty hard to explain... haha

Are you sure the pipe isn't just rattling against something when you are in reverse?

Is your bov vented and does it smeel like your car is running rich?

Also do a boost leak test to see if you're losing air out of any of the seals, pipes etc as this will contribute to it.

I have a blowthrough setup, so yeah, I'm VTA.

On closer inspection it could be a differential problem. It happens most when I have the wheel cranked in one direction (in reverse). The same sound also happens when I let off the gas too quickly at boost. Makes a huge bucking and creates the same sound.

Check your carrier bushings and you suspension bushings, also check the ball joints, tie rods and your axles.

Hey, to update:

I found the problem, my exhaust was rubbing against my differential and subframe. I adjusted the hangars and got it off the diff and fixed it!!
