I really want a new sound. I have 3inch catback.sounds a little quiet and ricy. I'm pretty sure the header and downpipe are completly stock. I don't have to pass emissons. But I don't want it to throw a cel at me because that just irritates my ocd. Reply with suggestions then ill search youtube to listen to them.

For a cat-back I'd suggest Thermal or SRS. Those are the best sounding kits I've heard. Just be aware that Thermal's piping necks down to 2.5" at one point. More info here.

But for me, the best rumble comes from a straight pipe.

It wasn't that obvious because the only thing we knew about you was that you had an outback.

With that said, a FP race manifold with a straight pipe all the way back would sound beastly if your allowed to in your state

There's not much selection when it comes to a quality bolt-on manifold. Your best bet would be the FP Race manifold. It's cheap, reliable, performs well, and gives the exhaust a little more rumble. If you don't want the manifold to rust just be sure to ceramic coat it before install. You can find it here: Forced Performance Turbochargers: FP DSM Race Manifold

Your only other option is an eBay tubular manifold. They're dirt cheap, but they aren't very reliable and raise engine bay temps pretty significantly. Some are better than others, but I'd just avoid them altogether.

For the downpipe, use any 3" downpipe that eliminates the cat and fits properly. If it does those two things then you really can't go wrong- A pipe is a pipe. I've been using an eBay brand pipe for years without issues. The one I have is very similar to this one from Punishment: PUNISHMENT RACING 3" DOWNPIPE FOR ECLIPSE/TALON - Punishment Racing

I love the sound of thermal exhausts. I have brian crower 272's with 3" apexi dp, 3" thermal turboback with just a 2g manifold. It sounds so mean, I love it.

I'm looking at a high flow cat from magnflow. Would I need the duel o2 sensor cat? I'm not ssure which one I need I have a 97 gsx

Thermal catbacks snake down where it bolts on to the cat, to accept the stock piping cat size.

One of the cleanest ones I have seen, I know others have gone with a large waste gate also.

Thanks! Yeah this was an electric that broke and i turned it into a boost actuated with some actuator i came across its cool when you just hit the gas and it opens up at 10 psi and then my dual WGs open up at 20psi

If you go with a straight pipe and no cat, you can avoid the CEL by doing the spark plug defouler trick. I bought one for like 4 bucks from autozone when I got a downpipe with the cat delete, and I never saw a cel.

EDIT: STM has one for 8 bucks, but you should be able to find one locally for cheaper.

look for either an HKS carbon ti or an Apexi n1, both give you rumble and roar.
