Hey guys heres the scoop. I just did an engine swap in my 99 gst, when i went to start the car I turnd the key and the stock oil pressure gauge pegged to the top. Started the car, NO oil pressure reading. Immediatley turned the car off. Then I swapped out the oil filter housing because the one on the new motor didnt have the pressure switch, and i knew that the sending unit and pressure switch worked on the old one. Tried to start the car again, still no oil pressure... Then today, I bought an aftermarket electric pressure gauge (followed the instructions for insallatiton) still have no reading on either of the gauges. So my questions are does the sending unit that came with the new gauge go in place of the pressure switch(dummy light) or the gauge sending unit? Also what could be wrong with my stock gauge? Im at a loss, any suggestions would b great. Thanks.

Perhaps the gauges are working fine, and you in fact have zero oil pressure.
